If you are a foreign resident and wish to vote, you must meet certain requirements and complete the necessary procedure within the established deadline.<\/p>\n<p>&#x1f1ea;&#x1f1fa; Citizens of the European Union<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be registered as a resident in Busot.<\/li>\n<li>Be entitled to vote.<\/li>\n<li>Declare that you wish to vote in Spain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Until 30 December 2026.<\/p>\n<p>&#x2705; If you have already voted in previous elections, you do not need to repeat the procedure as long as you continue to live in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>&#x1f30d; Citizens of countries with an agreement<\/p>\n<p>Bolivia, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Korea, Ecuador, Iceland, Norway, New Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, United Kingdom and Trinidad and Tobago.<\/p>\n<p>Apply for registration on the electoral roll from 1 December 2026 to 15 January 2027. Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be of the required voting age.<\/li>\n<li>Be entitled to vote.<\/li>\n<li>Be registered as a resident.<\/li>\n<li>Hold a residence permit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#x23f3; Required period of residence<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>United Kingdom: 3 years at the time you submit the application.<\/li>\n<li>Norway: 3 years on election day.<\/li>\n<li>All other countries: 5 years at the time you submit the application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#x1f4cd; Where can you complete the procedure?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At the Town Hall, in person or <a href=\"https:\/\/busot.es\/publica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/CERE.DFA_ES.pdf\">on the website<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Online, through the <a href=\"https:\/\/sede.ine.gob.es\/\">INE Electronic Office<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>By post, if you receive a letter from the Electoral Census Office. Follow the instructions in the letter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#x26a0;&#xfe0f; Being registered as a resident is not enough to be able to vote.
